If you want to store it longer that 1 year, place it in a ziplock bag, roll it to get all of the air out (air creates oxidation which in turn will cause your cocoa to go rancid), then either double or triple bag it and throw it in your freezer away from the door.

Keeping it away from the door will allow for a more even temperature instead of constant change everytime you are in need of an ice cream fix.

Hope that helps.

A very long time, I've had cocoa stored for many many months.

depending upon where u store it, it can be stored for up 2 several years. I have had cocoa stored up to 8 years! PRETTY AMAZING HUH? just keep it sealed tightly in a vacuum sealed container, and keep the moisture out. My guess is that it could last forever :-)

I store my cocoa in a Tupperware container and it has kept for a year. I keep it in the freezer so prolong the freshness.

Indefinitely. It contains natural constituents which inhibit spoilage.
