I just asked this, but perhaps I didn't word it exactly.

Since people believe the Rapture is an actual real event that is going to happen, what actual real steps have you taken to prepare for it? Such as "I have arranged for my pets to be taken care of by X" or "I have written letters to my family that isn't christian and they are in my vault?" or "I have written in my will that in case of rapture, my belongings can be dontated to a Children's Hosptial."

Thanks!

I'm not implying that people aren't as good as me - I don't think the Rapture is going to happen anymore than I think Thor is going to bash me with his hammer.

But it's interesting - if so many people really claim to believe it's an actual thing, that a total of 0 of them, at least on here, have done a single actual thing to get ready for it. Other than leave bibles lying around.

Honestly, when the rapture gets here and we are in the end times, I don't think too many people are going to care about the pets or the belongings. It would be a good idea to write letters or something to non-christians who will be left behind, but I doubt too many people will do that. There will be Bibles left though, and when people see the rapture take place, believe me, they will find those Bibles real quick and find Jesus by reading them. I haven't done anything to "prepare" except for asking Jesus to be my Lord and Savior and living my life for God.

Pastor preached on it at the New Year. Having the oil in ones lamp full.

The oil represents the anointing. That is the Holy Spirit. So to start each day pray in the Holy Spirit. Build ones most Holy Faith by praying in the Spirit.

Then if someone doesn't know if one has been filled with the Holy Spirit there is an easy test. Ask yourself, "Have I been in worship service praising God, and was overwhelmed in God's love & singing praise?" If not, then you have not been filled with the Holy Spirit.

Good idea to have a will for those left behind if one doesn't have any family that will be left behind. My guess things would go to nearest of kin left behind.

When I was a kid there were people in the Assemblies of God church who said that the rapture was going to happen at a certain time.

Christians quit there jobs, sold their homes, gave money away to people, or spent all their money and ran up their credit cards, had their pets put to sleep.. etc etc..

Then... nothing happened. Nothing.

There is no way to prepare for it. Bible says that nobody will know the time or date... its an unknown thing.

It would be more realistic to prepare for the sun burning out.

The rapture is a real event. the Bible describes it completely. The way we are to be getting ready according to God, is to be living Holy and Obedient lives to God. Doing all He tells us to do, and not doing what He says Not to do. And to stay in prayer , and keep studying His word, as He will reveal more and more until Jesus comes that will prepare us. and He says BE READY, because most wont be. Its so easy to get so preoccupied with the cares of this world, that you dont take time to be ready with God. HUGE MISTAKE. The devil is trying to deceive all in these last days, because he wants us all to lose our gift of salvation. But God tells us obedience brings blessing after blessing and disobedience brings curse.
We arent to be worrying whre our belongings go, or who will care for our pets. God will take care of that. But, if you feel the need to take out a will, do so, wont hurt anything, same as asking someone to care for your pets. But, if they are truly Christian, they wont be here to care for your pet, or enforce a will. So, be sure you get an athiest to do those things for you. Otherwise its a waste of time.
I hve a feeling you asked this to just put us Christians down, but I cant judge your motives, so I answered anyhow , the best I could. If you ever really search for truth, you will find it. Ask God to reveal it to you, and He will.. God bless you in your search. Its worth all you have to put into it.

You just implied that the people you are intrusting your pets to & the people taking care of the children in the children's hospital are not worthy of the rapture & therefore not as good as you. Think about it!!!!

The only way to prepare for the coming of Jesus is to Read Romans 10 and do as it says. You won't get beamed up to a starship, you won't pack your new luggage, people "left behind" won't be needing to worry about "fido" or reading your "rapture will".Be ready.

i have taken 1 step to prepare for the rapture. and that is inviting Jesus Christ into my heart. That is all that matters. it does not matter about ur dog. or what will be donated to who. or ur will. cause during the tribulation it will be total chaos anyway. so i hope u all prepare urself. and accept Jesus.
God bless
