Olive oil and you can dress it up anyway you like.

ADDITION:
Well, obviously you think we are all wrong since you gave everyone a thumbs down. So, call your local Greek restaurant and ask them or get on line and search for Greek web sites. They'll tell you the same thing: OLIVE OIL. Since, and here's the kicker, Greece is famous for OLIVE OIL!

Why not buy extra virgin olive oil from Greece? You can buy it in any Greek grocery store on the Danforth in Toronto. Add some freshly ground black pepper and you're good to go! Serve with some Greek olives and a slice of rich, creamy feta cheese for a heavenly appetizer. Goes well with Malamatina retsina from the LCBO.

Sure everyone answers "OLIVE-OIL" but you must use "EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE-OIL".The difference in olive-oils are the following:
1."Extra virgin" is the first press of the olive
2."Virgin" olive oil is the second press.
3."Pure" is the third press
4."Olive oil" is the fourth press.
Thus the "Extra Virgin' is the most flavorfull.Drizzle a small amount into a shallow dish and add FRESH ground pepper.
Or if u like spicy add crushed red pepper.
Or my favorite is dried rosemary.
U may however use any of the following "DRIED" herbs and spices.
Basil,Oregano, thyme,or all three of these make for a nice flavor.
And whatever tweeks your taste buds.Have fun and experiment.
AND YES YOU CAN PURCHASE PRE-INFUSED OILS FOR DIPPING AT MOST SUPERMARKETS AND STORES THAT SPECIALIZE IN IMPORTED GOODS.ENJOY

Pour some good-quality olive oil into a shallow dish. Mix in fresh ground pepper and any favorite fresh or dry herb blend, and you're ready for dipping slices or torn pieces of fresh Italian or other crusty bread.

There are some oils available with herbs and spices already in them, plus kits that even include dipping dishes.
