Depends. If it's been detected early than you have a very good chance of surviving and leading a normal healthy life afterwards. If it's detected late, it depends on how far it's progressed.

Not always, sometimes, you just lose a lung. Usually lose your vocal chords....and often have a permanent tracheostomy in the front of your neck. People can live for years like this, but it isn't much fun.

my dad was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer. in Feb of this year. they gave him two weeks. well he is still here. Its all in your mind. i kept telling him believe. and he turned from depression and he is weak, but he is still with us. good luck.

There are many different kinds... non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer... mesothelioma. Which are you referring to?

It depends on how soon they catch it and what stage it is. Its a tough disease to fight though.
