Absolutely not. The less you apply to the baptism, the better. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. it is a public testimony of your new faith in Christ. It is the first step of obedience to God.Christ is what saves, not baptism. And I'm a Baptist!

good parents are the best gift that children can have. However, when it comes to choosing to serve God, symbolising a personal dedication through public water baptism, the children themselves must decide. of course, they must be old enough and experience enough to be able to make that decision for themselves, even if it was their parents who first introduced them to the Bible and Godly service in infancy.

In churches that only practice believer's baptism, there are no godparents.
However, in church that practice infant baptism and have godparents, you will still have godparents if you get baptized as an adult. For example, in the Catholic church or the Anglican church if you get baptized as a adult you will have godparents (they may be called sponsors instead). They will promise to support you in your Christian walk.

No, Godparents undertake to instruct the child in the things of God. With a ful grown person making a choice for themselves that is not necessary.

You should be baptized after you get saved- after you have confessed your sins to God and put your trust in him- After praying to him to forgive you and by believing in what he did for you on the Cross - that he died and rose again- suffered for your sins, so you could be set free- Then you should be baptized- it is an outward expression of our faith to God- Godparents are not necessary- nowhere does it say that in the Bible.
Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Godaprents are more of a cultural thing than a religious requirement. The idea is that there is a friend of the family that will ensure the child's religious upbringing. In my church, that is a responsibility of everyone in general and the parents specifically.

No, but in some denominations ask that you have at least one witness, something like a God Parent.
