You sound like a healthy and happy person.
That's great!

I don't feel animosity or anger towards my birthparents and feel no need to meet them, but I do feel that my adoptive parents made a mistake by adopting from a woman without knowing the gender of their child (me), as my father made it very clear during my upbringing that I was not worth as much to him as a boy would have been. I'm not angry at him for it, but I do feel like they could have made a better decision.

Each person goes through their own ordeal. Each person is different in how they handle it. You can't control or influence the lives and upbringing of the birth parents, adoptive parents, and the adopted child. Neither can I.

Undoubtably you are not the only one that was adopted into a wonderful family - Good for you. But not all of us are that blessed. It just goes to show there's no way to know for sure how time will affect any one individual.
