its good to mix it up and do a devotion in a different way - or shed a different light on the matter.
if it were friendships... you could start off be reading a chapter out of "the little prince". Like the chapter where he meets and tames the fox and they become friends. I think it is chapter 13.
Then after you read that... turn to the bible, and read verses from it that the other story related with.
Makes you think of it in a different way, and gets the point across.

Show God how much respect you have for your creator by being
kind and loving to everyone you meet for just one week, maybe
it will take and last a lifetime. If your class sees this maybe they
will change, wow that's really pay it forward.
