Yes, you burn calories in cold weather because your body is burning energy in an effort to keep your body temperature elevated. Just like when you exercise in extremely hot temperatures you sweat a lot, that's your body's way of cooling itself down.

Yes,you are burning calories every minute you are alive. If you jog in the cold you're probably burning more calories than if was the temperature you normally jog.

Hmmmm.......

I've never heard of outside temperature affecting the way the body burns calories.

If anything, I would think that you might possibly burn more calories, to stay warm.

Uh...yes. The outside temp isn't what matters. As long as your heart is pumping faster you can burn calories.
