We have recently moved to Los Angeles and we are currently renting a home in Arcadia,as it is way expensive to buy a home here in LA,we r plannign to buy a condo,Recently we vsited new condos in downtown burbank area which are costing around $650K,Is the right place and right time to buy,are is it good if i wait for some more time as ppl r saying that the real estate market may come down.
We liked th condo, but we dont know the average prices in this city,is it normal here,r do u think its too high, bcoz in all the places we lived earlier for less than $400K we get nice homes

Thank you.

Burbank is a nice place to live, older but quality and centric. The real estate market slows down at the end of the year. Think long term when you buy, values always goes up in the long term. Rents are not going down. Good luck.

Burbank is a great place to live, but for the same price or less La Crescenta is awesome because they have blue ribbon schools, and you are still very close to everything! You can get free access to the Multiple listing service through my website where you can compare prices! Here to help!

You should look in other surrounding areas like La Crescenta, Montrose, Pasadena, Glendale, and check out house prices there as well. Burbank is a nice area to live, but look around before you settle on anything.

It is a nice pleace to live. There are a ton of great please to eat and it near everything, well as near as you can get in LA. My Dad had a nice Apt for years there that cost him very little, so at lest a few years ago it was pretty cheap. But my Dad did move to Long beach becouse it was cheaper. The houseing market in Calli is going down but is not going to drop that much. If your looking downtown them you are looking at the Average price. You might want to look alittle out side the downtown and see if its cheaper there.

I would suggest that you get in touch with a local Realtor, preferably not the listing agent, and ask about the market. Before you buy a condo always ask for a list of sold prices from previous sales.

I agree with birdgirl Glendale has some nice areas like by Glendale avenue and above Colorado.

La Crescenta is nice. Toluca Lake is expensive, but sometimes you can get some good deals.
