Every day I hear talk about the Rapture happening "soon" on here. And you often hear jokes "in case of rapture, can I have the title to your car?" I'm wondering since people believe in this very sincerely, what actual steps they've taken to prepare for it.

Thanks!

Ooops, my bad. The wording should be "What have YOU done to prepare for the Rapture?" Sorry!

Asked Jesus to forgive me. Otherwise, I haven't made any preparations.

I am a very strong Christian, but I think the "rapture" story is a mis-interpretation of some scripture in Revelations. It says the world will not be destroyed until all the saints and martyrs are called to Heaven. Someone made the mental leap that God would do this in a single instant. I disagree. It may be that one person is left to die, but I doubt 144,000 people will just suddenly vanish.
To answer the 2nd part, I pray often and give my life to my God. His Will, not my will, be done. Amen!

its a premilleniallist stance
I have not quite settled what I believe in as far as end times goes
I think the best preperation is To Love Jesus

Just be ready for heaven. If the Rapture doesn't happen for another 200 years likely you will leave this life, this world, anyway. So, be ready.

If you really want to help hasten the Rapture ... well, we have been told that first the Gospel must be preached to all ethnic groups, AND THEN the end shall come.

I think the rapture will occur, but man will be wrong to think it means the end of the world. I think the world will end as we know it to be, in other words concioussness of mans mind will end. HIs will of judgement, control, and status will no longer be needed. Jesus meaning the spirit of Jesus the message of love thy brother, do unto others, the golden message weaved into every religious belief, and moral conduct of man will deliver man from his own personal hell. But who will suffer from the rapture the most. It will be the ones who call themselves religious leaders, who judge and say you will burn in hell in the name of my god. THey will know hell, because they will be excluded by the arms of heaven. Why because heaven will be in the hearts and minds of every man that accepts his fellow man without judgement, and with love. Yes My Atheist friend It may surprise many Christians who with their condescending comments of scripture, that they may be the ones swimming in the lake of fire.
I do not conform to any religious belief, but I know that in my heart the only way to heaven is together, not from some exclusive club that only lets the baptized in, or who celebrates the sabbath on a sat, instead of a sun. You seem a very caring person who does good by herself and everyone esle without judgement or guilt from some imagianry boogey man, you have already taken the steps. The rest can only follow. I wish you well.

On March 3, 1993, I went to the front of a Baptist Church, and made sure of my salvation. And by the way, thats all anyone has to do to be caught up with Jesus. ( that is get saved) 1 Thessalonians chapter 4. Jesus may come back tonight, 100 years from now, 1,000 years from now, 2, 000 years from now. No one knows for sure, even Jesus said he doesn't know. only the Father.
