I think there is alot of truth in many new age sites, and i am a christian.

They bash the new age movement because many of the "new age" religions are based upon the "old age" religions that Christianity displaced. They thought they'd killed pagan religions and in truth they just forced us into hiding. It's very scary when you think something you destroyed (and have long been taught is "evil") turns out just to have hidden for a couple of millenia, and when so many people start leaving your "flock" for the "old age new age" spiritual paths.

Fundies don't like the competition. besides, New Age religions give the faithful Fundies something else to scoff. scoffing is not only fun but it makes you feel more secure in your own belief system..

Not all do. There are Christians who denounce everything though - I think they're frightened coz they can see the truth in it too but think they'll go to hell if they admit it.
