I am going thru a divorce, although it is not "nasty", I feel uncomfortable around my "soon to be ex" and his parents. I never met "Grandma" because she does not know who anyone is and tends to start yelling and screaming. Am I horrible if I choose not to attend the wake, she past away yesterday in her sleep?

No you are not horrible. Divorce doesn't erase feelings. Let your ex and his family know that you send your condolences. You should at the very least send a card, flowers are optional.
You have enough to worry about right now without an extra guilt trip so take care of yourself.

You can always send some sort of floral arrangement to the funeral home, expressing your sympathy to his family. Even though you are going through a divorce, you need to be the one with class. Send an arrangement and you don't have to go. I think that would be in good taste.

You don't have to go to the wake. You never met her, not everyone has to go to these things, and by NOT going you'll allow your soon to be "ex" to focus on the funeral and not on being uncomfortable next to you / the divorce.

No, if you were close to your soon to be ex-in-laws then you would probably want to go. But you are not and you should go with your feelings. If you still feel guilty you could just send a card.

I don't think you are required to go. You never met her and since you are divorcing you will not need to be there to give your husband moral support. So stay home. You might want to send flowers though

Just send the child of grandma a sympathy card, and mention that you never had the honor of meeting her.....

You don't have to go. Send your regards to your ex - tell him your sorry for his loss and that's all you need to do.
