This is not a joke, I would like mature people to please respond, I am a married person with a child and another on the way, my husband and I are active sexually, and now and then we engage in anal sex. Recently I have been enjoying it more but I am scared for my baby. I am 4 months pregnant. I tried getting information from the web and can't seem to find anything that relates both subjects.

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.

I think that you are probably fine and that it wouldnt hurt the baby, but i would reccomend talking to your doctor about it if it is a major concern of yours. The only thing that is could be hurting is your bowels though, with constipation being such a problem during pregnancy anyways i would think engaging in anal could just make it worse. I once had a health professor say that the anus is for giving not recieving. Oh well best of luck

When you really start to poke out there is a chance that laying on your stomache can cause a blood vessel to burst but that is very uncommon. Try doing it from the side. It will not harm the baby to have any kind of sexual intercourse be it anal or regular. Let your body tell you what is comforting for you.

OK--so anal sex does not cause any direct harm to the baby--but there are risks of catching infections which at birth could harm your baby when the baby passes through the birth canal and the cervix-but that is at birth time--meanwhile enjoy your sexlife!!! Congrats on the babies and good luck!!!

I dont think you should feel any fear of this. You are enjoying yourself and as long as the both of you are not unusually rough with each other I can see no reason why it would cause a problem for the baby.

There is nothing risky about having anal sex while PG. There is also no reason to stop at 6mos PG. As long as your husband is gentle no damage will be done. Any type of sex is fine during pregnancy.

no, it will not hurt the baby, but you will find it less comfortable as time goes on. About 8 months you won't want to anyore until after the baby comes, but wait until you are healed afterward becasue you can still hurt things. good luck and congrats.

You are fine. You should talk to you doctor first to see if your at a high risk pregnancy. They may not want you to have sex around the 8-9 month cause an organism can trigger early labor. I hope this answer your question.

Ideas like this are the reason I have to wear a helmet everywhere. MY parents had the same idea, now everyone wants to know where this dent in the side of my head comes from, and I always have to make up some story. Thanks alot!
