The term "soul winner" makes evangelists look like used-car salesmen gaming for commissions. Anyone who uses the term is revealing his or her true motives in converting people to Christianity: to win "brownie points" for God and impress people on Earth with their "righteousness" and "faith in God".

It sounds like it should be a type of demon in a video game. Maybe a soul-stealing demon. Only they don't call it stealing because to the demon, taking people's souls is just a game, hence it wins the souls. So yeah, that term does sound pretty creepy.

The Bible says "he that winneth souls is wise". i'd rather be wise than a fool, because the "fool hath said in his heart there is no God." Charles Spurgeon once said "If you have no desire to see someone else saved, you are not saved yourself, be sure of that."
