I get this message again when I close the document. My question is how to get the alert message to stop popping up before and after I open my documents. (I'm using Windows XP Home on a pc.)

You need to enable the macros. While in Microsoft Word, search in their help section for Enable Macros... it will tell you how to go about doing this. If you don't do this you will get that message every time you open up a document that contains macros. Best Wishes :-)
