I am looking for a pretty simple wedding dress in the Portland, Maine area. I want something floor length, ivory, but can't find anything. I also don't want to spend more than $300 on it. I tried David's Bridal, and didn't like anything. I also really don't want to buy it online, I want to be able to try it on before I buy it. Please, can anyone help?!?!

I know you said you don't want to buy it online, however, this store has a wonderful return policy and the dresses are high quality and great price! http://www.bridalonlinestore.com/store/bridal_gowns_wedding_dress_gowns_5.aspes, I'm sure you'd find something you like....

Eeeks that is a toughy since you have a $300 limit, that is not much for a dress..... why don't you try not to go for a wedding dress but rather a long white dress from like Cache or a Macy's I am sure you have tons of places in the mall that sells long evening gowns. With your price limitations, your not really going to find what your looking for.

I personally think that it's lovely. Chic and sophisticated with a modern flair, it certainly isn't showy, but that doesn't mean that it isn't beautiful. Maybe if you want more of the princess look you could wear an antique-style veil in all its shimmery pearl glory. If this fits well and you like it, go ahead, this dress is prettier than a lot of others that are out there.

think outside the square & look at gowns in all types of shops rather than just looking at ""bridal gowns""
after all a wedding dress is only that because it is what you have chosen to wear for the occassion
as someone else suggested another alternative is to have one made for you
GOOD LUCK & KEEP SMILING

maybe you could find someone to make one for you, since you are looking for simple. or buy something from a Macy's or something and have it changed to suit you
