Registered Nurse Here; Yes the natural sugars in fruits is much, much, better for ones health. Than table sugar, table sugar is refined, and pure sugar. Where as Fruits, are natural, non-concentrate, natural fructose, much easily absorbed my the body. This is why it's recommend for diabetics as well as the general population to have 3 to 5 servings per day of fruit. One can eat a bananas or apple and see minimal increase in blood sugar, on the other hand you can add a teaspoon of sugar to a drink such as coffee, or tea. And the blood sugar in a diabetic raises rapidly. Thank you for the opportunity to address such a meaningful question, and one that confuses lots of people.

It's basically the same. Table sugar comes from either sugar cane (plant) or sugar beets (veggie).

Fruit sugar is fructose, table sugar is sucrose. For weight purposes it makes no difference, same glycemic index.

yes fructose(fruit sugar) is metabolized differently than sucrose(table sugar) and is easiser on your pancreas. it is however acidic and should not be consumed in large quantities. imo-opt for low sugar fruits-lemons,limes,tomatoes,grapefruit,avacado.

best to avoid table sugar altogether- it is processed poison.

Yes ,the key word there is NATURAL! Natural is always better than artificial.
