If you are not a Christian then you are by definition a pagan. A pagan is anyone, or people that hold beliefs other then those that are expressly stated in the Bible, I.E. the Old and New Testaments.
I could say a lot more on this subject, but I will leave it here for now.

The modern accepted definition of Pagan (in our society) is anyone who isn't a Christian/Jew/Muslim. But that's just a generalization used by those within those mainstream religions.
The word Heathen is slowly being taken by a Pagan path. Asatru - those who follow the Norse Gods. But generally, yes, if you're not a Christian, then you're a heathen.

A pagan is someone who does not believe in the Christian, Jewish, or Muslim religions. So if you do not elect to believe in any of these three, then you would be a pagan.

Anyone that doesn't believe in Jesus to be the Son of God or who doesn't believe in God period is nothing more than a nonbeliever. You choose whatever label you want.
