depends on heredity, overall health esp. vitamins/minerals and no systemic disease, haircare practices etc. Everyone is diff. but a good average is about 1/2" a month. I have thick hair and I know (as a stylist) plenty of people who have thick hair that grow and inch or more a month...I don't know why. I know others with thin, and i dont mean thinnning(as in balding_...i mean the hairstrand diameter...that their hair grows slow...it seems to be a pattern.

OK. On the head, about 5/8" a month. On the chin, easily 7/8" a month. On the arms, 1/8" a month.
