I don't mean "magic mushrooms"; I mean the other kind. I've actually heard someone refer to eating mushrooms as "eating fungus".

Well, mushrooms are a fungi...so you do the math.
Of course we eat mushrooms! Try not to believe every silly thing you hear...if it seems really silly, it's most likely not true.
One of my husband favorite foods is deep-fried mushrooms.

Do you mean the kind on pizza or the kind that get you high?
Pizza mushrooms - no
Get you high mushrooms - yes, actually anything that's bad for us.

I love mushrooms especially on my Pizza, but I don't like the ones that get me high. Getting High is against God.

No, Latter-day Saints are not opposed to eating mushrooms.
And, for your information, mushrooms ARE a type of fungus. It's true!

Hmm. Maybe you just ran into a picky eater? I like sliced mushrooms on salads sometimes, and on vegetarian pizza.

I love portabella mushrooms! Oooh cooked in butter and served with steak - delicious!


(and no duh - we're against taking hallucinogenic drugs if that's what you're talking about).
