i think when i deleted internet explorer several other things were deleted along with it like the solitare games and that stuff and i possibly the volume control in the taskbar....when i went to the sound and volume button in the control panel it telle me to go reinstall it from the add/remove program but when i tried doing that it wouldnt work....is there any way i can get it back in my taskbar?

you uninstalled a lot. This happens sometimes when uninstalling IE, go to add/remove programs and click add/remove windows components. You can reinstall it from there. You can also reinstall the games from there. You will need the Windows Installation CD in order to do this.

Re install the sound driver.
