god created stars then man. stars physical properties show the sun will destroy the earth. Only two senarios, 1 he knew man would destroy themselves before this chemical reaction would happen which would then state he knew adam and eve would sin which contradicts the bible. or 2 he created something that he knew would destroy something else he created. which is a direct argument that shows he is not merciful. I have asked this once and only got 2 answers. I find that funny aswell.

yall always say it was free will that we use to make things bad. so if he knew they would choose to sin, thats kind of stacking the deck isnt it?

" The Bible says that God cursed the creation as a punishment when Adam sinned" this is your answer but then "
Show me in the Bible where it says that God didn't know that Adam and Eve were going to sin?" that makes no sense. I created this and know sin is going to happen but when it does Im going to curse you for it. Man this is funny

how about a different point of view?

maybe god created the stars and then man for another reason? we are given the ability to think and create. your viewpoint is that we will create the end of the earth before the sun/universe destroys our planet. perhaps instead of destruction we are to create a way to prevent the demise of our planet? in acquiring a group consciousness, we can all work together in search of world peace instead of against one another on our path to destruction.

"Logic. what do they teach at these schools?"(the Professor, "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe"by C.S.Lewis, or at least a close paraphrase)

First step in a logical debate: making premises that can be agreed upon. I disagree with your premises, so we have to be able to agree on what the premises before we can debate this. You state that either Mankind must destroy earth or the sun must destroy Mankind. You exclude any other possibilities. That is a false premise, therefore you need ot fix it before we can come to a logical and enlightening conclusion to this. God has created more than this world. Heaven seems like a descent replacement for earth for me. You are willing to take evidence from select parts of the Bible, you are not just an Ignoramus with a point you are trying to make, but now that you have agreed to open the Bible to this argument, we should also take into account a) the second coming and our removal from this world prior to its destruction and b) the possibility that without human sin the Universe would of been perfect and the world would never of been destroyed by the sun. If we limit ourselves to the premises that you set out, then you will win 100% of the time. Your premises do not account for all the possibilities, and they exclude possible solutions so they need to be revised.

God knowing Adam and Eve would sin doesn't contradict anything.

God makes it very clear that their will be an end to this world. He's God. If He made it, why can't He control whether or not a star will destroy us? He's merciful, not a push over. Just because this world will end doesn't mean His followers won't be taken to something completely new. In fact, that's what the Bible tells us.

Well, your premise is full of holes.
First of all, you are using the bible to disprove itself. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know the bible is full of dubious information, poetry, some history, some old taboos, and a lot of nonsense.
You need to figure out whether you believe what the bible says or not. If you do, then read it, and live according to its ideas. If you don't, then quit using it to disprove or prove your points.
It is not the authority in my life and hasn't been since I was about 12. I made a decision to live according to the golden rule-which is just about universal in all religions. It has done well by me.
I don't read the bible except for some of the interesting stories, or some of the pretty poetry. It is not my "road map."
There is no daddy god, creator in the sky with a "personality," like Greek and Roman gods who were jealous, or mean or merciful.
There may or may not be or have been some "intelligence" out there running things. Who cares? You'd think a god could do better.
There is nobody/thing watching to see if you catch that fly ball or your mother doesn't die of cancer. You can't pray hard enough to prevent a bus from hitting you. Natural law falls on all of us. "Miracles" are things that happen that we don't understand--yet. We will, eventually. Or not.
I am an agnostic, studying to be an atheist.
I don't know how the universe got created or flung or wound up here. Noboby does, since no one is alive who was alive then.
I don't care one bit.
There are lots of chemical reactions, confusing situations, big problems, and worrisome troubles facing the human race, and the earth.
Twisting your head off trying to trick believers into believing what you believe, or answering "paradoxes" is fruitless. It is tantamount to asking "Can god make a rock so big he can't pick it up?" No? uh, yes, uh, no, uhuhuh
It is an exercise for a person just discovering his logical mind. Sort of like mental masturbation when you first discover your penis.
It is why most teens are raging atheists or raging evangelists for some tight-*** religion. Depends on how afraid they are, which way they go.
Good for you. Everything works.
Now spend some time and energy fixing something that CAN be fixed. That ought to keep you busy for about 75 years.
Good luck.

You have no proof that the physical properties show the sun will destroy the earth... it's just speculation.

However the bible teaches in Revelation the Seven Seals with the last one being, Silence in Heaven, followed by fire being hurled to the Earth.

If you didn't know it the Christians are waiting for the fire as God promised. Your merciful statement is typical atheism wanting to place your own values on God instead of those values he placed on himself.

As a human you are limited by the dimensions inspired by science, however just as conceptual and probable there are many more dimensions unknown to us and science.

I think what we have here is a 12 year olds’ logic trying to prove atheism is the right path for him.

It’s on the level of, “Christians thank they are moral so if I can prove they are not moral then they are not Christians.” It’s more or less immaturity trying to use something that is logical to him.

The popular theme now days is, “What would Jesus do?” The thought is that if you don’t behave like Jesus then you are not a Christian. They are completely lost to the fact that every Sunday we hear that we are sinners and sin all the time.

Most of their information is derived from TV evangelists. In fact, I think atheist watch more TV evangelists than do Christians.

First of all...how do you KNOW that God created stars first? Second of all....everything on earth destroys something else He created. So all in all.....who knows why he created all of this at all? And who knows why it is not supposed to last forever! Or will it. There are no definite answers. And that is why no one has an answer.

My take on it though is that He has a reason for it....and it does not necessarily mean that He is not merciful. I mean, do you think the world is going to get so much better that it SHOULD last forever? But in believing in God is believing that He knows the end....when it will be, how and what happens next...and that will be what His plan was to start with.

The Bible says that God cursed the creation as a punishment when Adam sinned. Therefore it started to decay and will eventually disintegrate, and it also says that that it how physical death, disease etc entered the world. Prior to being cursed to death because of the sin within it, the creation would have been perfect.

Show me in the Bible where it says that God didn't know that Adam and Eve were going to sin? You are a good example of someone who's never read it!

EDIT
Well, in Rev. 13:8 the Bible talks about Jesus Christ as the Lamb who was "slain before the foundation of the world"....

Sounds to me like God knew in advance what Adam and Eve were going to do and had already determined that He would be the ultimate sin sacrifice!

When God created Adam, He knew he would sin and would disobey Him and therefore gain his own free will as he pleases. But did you know that God also, knew that after Adam sins and cause all kind of corruption on Earth, and the loss of his soul, God had a plan of salvation for Adam before He created him, and that God would redeem Adam from his sin and redeem all mankind who inherited the tendency to sin and go astray thereafter . God counteracted all what had resulted from Adam's sin by the power of Jesus Christ who would nullify the sin of Adam and carry it on the cross and pay for its wages in full by His own precious blood. If there were no Christ, then you could have a reasonable argument and dare to discuss the downfall of Man and the extinction that he brought upon himself that God knew before He created him. But let us Give thanks to Christ who by His blood saved mankind and restored him to be best creature that God had created and loved among all his creation. Let us praise God and adore Him and let us worship him with our spirits for HE IS not only our Creator, but also our Savior.

By the time the sun will be ready to destroy the earth which is light years away, mankind would have probably long before figured out, through advancements in technology, how to live on other planets or creating our own. I know this doesn't fit into your equation, but I believe it is highly likely. Even though I am not a religious individual, it seems like your theory of biblical controversy has just been swayed. Good luck on more of your god involved conspiracy theories.

"...stars physical properties show the sun will destroy the earth." Would you like to tell me how you KNOW it will happen? How many times has the Sun swallowed the Earth so far? How many times has any star been shown to have swallowed a planet? Sure there are stars that go nova, but since we've only been able to detect them for the last 50 or 60 years, how much information do we really have? Do we know FOR SURE that novas are caused by age, or could the few we've seen be caused by collisions of planets?
