and no, we are not talking about the kids whose parents were bad.

i am talking about the ones who were rescued from a bad situation and given lots of love (irregardless of the material things) once they get older, some WANT to turn to drugs or prostitution or gangs....

why?

I think it has to do with their inner feelings...They're not happy with themselves.

My parents and my older sister have dealt and are dealing with this, They were foster parents for YEARS, Adopted some of the children, And then, When the children turned 18 years old, They went in search of their birth parents, And no longer have contact with my parents.

I think they think- Their 'birth' families are these super great people or something, I don't know, But it's heartbreaking to watch happen.

Because they get spoiled. Alot of times, adoptive parents have been waiting so long to have a child, that they tend to spoil the children to show love. Other times it's because the child still has low self esteem from being in a bad home, and they feel they didn't deserve to be "rescued", so they act nonchalante about the whole thing.

Because even though they are being cared for a lot of times they think that the parents only car because It's their job, and not because they are loved. It's hard to get over the fact your REAL parents didn't want you. It leaves you with self doubt, and a feeling of unwanted. You have a hard time getting close to them because you feel rejected by your real parents, so why or how could anyone else truly love you? They are afraid to love for fear of rejection, so they push away first before the parents have a chance to reject them.

I think it is because the adopted children feel betrayed by their natural parents and they act out. They probably don't even realize how much it hurts their adoptive parents to see them going through bad times.

Some natural children aren't either. I always blame the system that has empowered them too much, and created monsters

And you are right, it is NOT the parents fault. The kids make the decisions to destroy their lives and drag loved ones along

i don't think it has anything to do with the adoptive parents i think it has to do with issues from inside the children. like there feelings of who they are and why they were giving up. ithink they appreciate there adoptive parents there just young and they act out as alot on non-adoptive kids do.

What they learn before they reach there loving family is usally bad things. however before they reach the new family the bad family taught them that it is okay to do bad things so they feel comfortable.

The ones that do appreciate there parents know they are truly loved and know the difference between good and bad!!

most of these kids were pushed into the system and suffered some type of abuse. When they are taking in by decent people they are already damaged.

I don't know why, but they do!
