windows vista is avalible from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx
you need to fill out the relevant info and the actual download is very large so use the download manager that microsoft supply with the download
the file comes is iso format so it has to be copied to a disc using a "burn image "option, nero does a good iso burner in nero 7 but there are plenty others free to download at download.com
also you must have certain specs to run vista and it is advisable to install it on a 2nd machine or if you have a spare partition on your main p.c(25gb or over) use that
you must have 512mb ram(1gb recommended) and a graphics card with pixel and shader model 2.0(geforce fx5200 and better / ati radeon 9550 and better)
to see if you have a vista capable p.c go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeadvisor/default.mspx,and download the vista advisor tool which will scan your p.c and give you any components that need to be upgraded or changed
be warned though this is a beta copy of vista so drivers are scarce and some software wont run,but i have found that most programs run fine ,nvidia and ati have both brought out display drivers for vista which are needed to run the aero effects
any problems during installation or any further enquires please let me know
good luck

You do NOT want Vista!!! If forces you to make hardware upgrades and if your puter crashes or you add new hardware you can only reinstall it 2 times and then you have to buy it again.
The public version isn't going to come out until January 2007...at the EARLIEST!!!!
I'm staying with Win XP until I get finished researching Linux!!! Then MS can suck hind tit!!!

Beta Preview was available from microsoft's website. Downloading CD ISO image and burning it to use it. OR just wait Nov. 23rd for business user release or January 2007 for public world-wide release.

Hi there,
I found a free download of Nero here http://bitly.com/VMdVeE
Nero supports burning audio, video and data to CD, DVD or Blu-ray Disc.
Hope it helps.
