Ok I have tattoos and love them but want a tongue ring.
Tell me the truth which one hurts more the piercing or the tattoo.

The tattoo hurt worse in my opinion. Don't listen to who ever was preaching about employement and lisping and all that stuff. I have tattoos I have a few piercings tongue included and I am a professional in the medical field. The way I look at it is if people wanna judge the way I look when I'm at work than they can kiss my butt because someday they may need me to take care of them when sick or injured or their family members so don't listen to the bs that someone wrote you, get it done I promise it only feels like a little pinch, its afterwards when your sore but, just be sure to stay with soft foods preferably soups because you don't want food getting caught up in a new piercing because it can lead to a horrible infection.

Having my tattoos done hurt worse than having my tongue pierced. However, the healing process can be painful if you aren't careful about what you put in your mouth. I've had mine for 4 years and would definitely miss it if I took it out.
I guess I'm just confirming what several others are telling you already.
If you wear a smaller ball on the barbell, you shouldn't talk with a lisp once it has completely healed. Most people don't even know I have one unless I show them (or I yawn). I'd say go for it and enjoy!

I have tattoos and a tongue ring as well...not bad at all. The swelling kinda sucks for a few days after u get it, but its totally worth it! The tattoo hurts more during the actual procedure, but the tongue hurts more healing than the tat does.

The tattoo hurts worse. All you need is some ice with the tongue ring and you're good to go!

I found that the tongue piercing hurt more, the good thing about though was that it only last like a minute.

I have tattoos going down my spine and had my tongue pierced neither hurt, but it all depends on how much you can tolerate pain.

I have both...the tongue piercing is quick...I thought the clamp to hold my tongue hurt more than anything. Then there is just some swelling...it isn't bad. Take 600mg of Motrin first and you'll be fine. Enjoy!

tattoo hurt for the duration of getting them done... mine took two and a half hours. a piercing i would think would be zip zap done with pain afterwards... kinda like comparing a paper cut to a stab wound.

This is a dangerous thing to do.....can lead to systemic infection and heard of brain poisoning.
also...why do you wish to talk with a lisp? It is also a turn off to prospective employers to see employees with tongue rings. It may be a fad, but think about it when trying to land a good job or to get flack from your current employer.

It depends on where your tattoos are. If you have one on your ankle...that hurts more than getting your tounge pierced. If not...I would not suggest it!
