please make an appointment to see your gynecologist. You are old enough now that you should be seeing one.

I am not sure if you have cancer, but breasts feel VERY sore and sort of bumpy when they are developing. And darling, you are very young, and this could just be the pains and uneven-ness of your breasts growing.

however, going to see your gynecologist is the first step in learning more about breast cancer. She can help you determine if your lump is just growing pains, or something to deal with, like cancer, a cyst or anything else. She can also show you how to do a self breast exam so you can look for lumps yourself and she can talk to you about how to identify them as lumps or normal tissue. PLEASE make an appointment and go see your gynecologist.

First of all you need to calm down a little bit. Next, talk to your parents and tell them you really want to have this checked out by a doctor. It could be a swollen lymph gland, depending on where the pain is, or it could be a benign lump. I also had pain in my left breast and there was a lump. They did a biopsy and it was not cancer, it was just a lump. But anytime you have a lump in your breast you must have it checked out even if you are 14. I hope your parents are the concerned type and get you in for a checkup right away! Good Luck little one, your a smart girl!

Dont be scared, but yes you should tell your parents and they can help you and your mom can do a breast self exam on you like they will do when you go to the doctor to examine the lump.
if you feel something is not supposed to be on your body- Tell the doctor! and insist on having some tests done to MAKE Sure you don't have anything wrong- it could be a cyst and those they just remove and are not cancerous
but go get checked if you don't feel comfortable- its ok!

I agree with everyone else that you NEED to tell your parents and see a doctor. But, just to maybe ease your mind a little... It sounds like it may just be a cyst that is filling up with fluid. Those are very common and can cause some soreness. But, you need to have it checked out for sure. Plus, having cancer at your age is such a small probability. Good luck, and don't worry yourself. LOL.

I agree that it would be rare to have cancer at your age, and your symptoms could easily be something else. Don't worry.

Talk to Mom. Go to doctor. If you are modest, ask your mom to find you a doctor that is female. My 15 year old daughter prefers her female doctor.

In the meantime, when you soak in the bath tub, put a warm, wet washcloth on the sore breast. This may help it feel/get better. It could be an infection, which is no big deal, would just need antibiotics.

I think the odds of you having breast cancer are very slim--you are too young. But, this does sound like something you should have checked out by a doctor. It could be minor, or it could be a symptom of a major problem. You should definately tell your parents! They will understand and probably not worry until they are told by a doctor that there is a reason too. Good Luck.

This is absolutely something you cannot second guess. You need to tellyour parents or the school nurse or someone. This is not right....14 year old girls don't commonly get breast cancer but there is alot of other very serious things it could be. Please tell your parents you need to go see a Doctor.

Ok i'm a guy but don't think i'm a pervert or nothing i just trying to calm down. Cancer doesn't happen like that. It doesn't grow like that and it doesn't hurt like that. It is more gradual. And you should tell your parents or some adult you trust. Have you had sex lately? Because if you did and you didn't take precautionary measures, you could be pregnant. I would reccomend seeing a doctor immediatly, though, even if just for relief. Please don't think i am just some perverted person. I really am trying to help.

Doubt very seriously it is breast cancer. Let the doctor decide. You are going to feel so silly you panicked over nothing. Got to the doctor like a good girl. m

The best thing to do is tell your parents. So what ever it is you can be treated. The longer you take, it will get worse and you are creating a bigger problem for you and your parents. So please talk to your parents about it. Thats the best thing to do for you and them. It don't exactly have to be breast cancer, but you need to see a doctor asap.
