is it true that eating fruits 20 min before and an hour later helps to reduce the gasses. oppose to eating fruits within a meal ?

Sorry, but that sounds ridiculous. The only thing that stops gassiness with meals is taking Beano. And don't listen to what Ray said about eating fruits alone... Not true!!! In fact, many fruits are high in natural sugar and if eaten alone will cause your glucose levels to spike, meaning not good for long-term which can lead to Diabetes. You should eat fruits with other foods high in protein which helps control the sugar intake. Protein will slow down the absorption of the sugar from the fruit. For example, if you like pineapples, you can eat them with cottage cheese (good amount of protein).

I don't know about gasses, but I have heard that you are supposed to eat fruit by itself to get the maximun benefits, which means at least two hours before or after a meal. Could help with gas, too. To eliminate gas with eating anything, try "Beano", a product you take orally to prevent gas from forming in the bowels. Works great!

Not sure about that, never heard of, but fruit is good for you any time,,, so eat away.

Sour fruits like lemon or lime increase digestion.
