oh i totally agree. Unless they have those new rubber ones that don't burn or stain. I have a pair I hardly use I like my burnt and scruffy ones better.

No, I do not agree because the person with the burnt ones could be the one that is always burning food and has to take the burning food out of the oven before the house burns down! I am a great cook and my potholders that I have had for about six years look pretty good!

I don't agree, my potholders look terrible but I'm not a great cook. I'm a clumsy cook. Although everyone is still alive so I can't be that bad.

Naw, there careful. I have been told (not bragging) that I am a good cook. My mittens aren't burnt or scruffy. Stained...yes. I wash them after they look like they need it. I think they are in good condition. I hope you wouldn't run from my food. LOL

I would agree. I'm a fanatic and I replace my mitts about once a year. By the time they hit the trash they don't really protect my hands from anything. They are mostly holes and charcoal by that time.

Totally, you can tell who cooks and who knows the takeout numbers by heart. LOL

Yes, I am a great cook, and my mitts are embarrassing.

Does anyone use them anymore? Get silicone gloves.
