Yes I know someone who know longer chooses the homosexual lifestyle and they follow Christ. Two actually. A woman and a man. The fell in love, got married, and have 2 kids. They did not turn heterosexual, though. Think of homosexuality like alcoholism. That might make some mad, but that is the best analogy I can give. If you are a follower of the Bible, certain things are wrong. Just because you have a desire doesn't mean you should act upon it. Homosexuals are just hurting people, many have poor if any relationship with their fathers and some were sexually abused as children.

Is there such a thing as formal heterosexual? I'm honestly you'd think this was the worst sin on earth or something. What is the hang up with homos? Is better to be "former" divorced-axe murderer-child killer who "turned" Christian? Give me a break. Since when does being heterosexual=purity anyway? I know plenty of heterosexual_sluts. As for conversion, there's no such thing....There might be some bi-sexuals who are now exclusivley in a hetero relationship but that's as close as you're going to get to a conversion.

A formal homosexual is a gay guy in a tux. :)
As for "former" homosexuals, yes and no. I do know homosexuals who have become Christians and have turned from that lifestyle. It is still a struggle for them to keep pure. On the other hand, I know homosexuals who turned from the lifestyle and in fact did become hetero, which depending on your view of homosexuality means they were either "cured" or never really homosexual in the first place. Finally, I have known homosexuals who left the lifestyle, only to return to it later.

A homosexual doesn't have to "turn heterosexual" to be a follower of Christ. He/she just has to live a chaste life, the same as anyone else.

No. Homosexuality is not something of which one needs to be "cured," like a disease.

There was this guy on Dr. Phil who used to be a homosexual. He told how he found God and went to counseling and realized homosexuality was a choice not who you are. He chose to not be a homosexual anymore and a few years later met a woman and fell in love. They now have 3 kids and have been married for 15years. He said he was happier now than he ever had been. And totally backed up the idea that homosexuality is a choice and not who you are or what you are.

Most of those who "convert" end up depressed; some go on to commit suicide.
Bottom line: it's sinful to reject your own nature. You were created to be the way you are.

No one knows anyone like that. I'm sure lots of people know homosexuals who have repressed and self-deluded, but no homosexuals REALLY changes their sexuality.
