No it doesn't. Jesus said that baptism is essential for salvation. You can't enter the Kingdom without it. But that isn't the same as saying you get free admission to the kingdom by being baptized. Baptism gives us the initial grace, makes us members of the Body of Christ on earth, the Church. But not all members of the Church are going to heaven. That depends on what each person does with his/her time on earth.

No. Baptism is designed to happen AFTER salvation. It is the first command to a new Christian. It is an outward display of an inner change--the surrender of your heart and life to Christ and your obedience to him. Baptism does not save you--the only way to be saved is to Admit you are a sinner, Believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and that He came to this world to pay the price of our sins, and Commit your heart and life to Him.
It is, however, possible to be saved without being baptized. When Christ was being crucified, the thief to His right asked Jesus to remember him when He returned to His Kingdom. Jesus' reply was : "THIS DAY you shall be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43, emphasis mine). The thief never had the chance to be baptized, yet Jesus promised him admission to heaven that day.
Clearly baptism is important to the Christian, but it is NOT salvation.

The baptism is the physical showing of your commitment to the Lord. The true "saving" would be accepting Jesus into your heart and living by the Word. There is no true physical changes that has been proven to show that anything is better through the submersion.

Has Latter-Day Saints, we believe that Baptism is the Gateway to the Celestial Kingdom. We do not believe that we are saved, being saved is a life long journey.

Nope. I read someone make the following analogy, thought it was good:
Just because you sit in a garage does not make you a car.
Just because you sit in a church does not make you a Christian.
So, just because you were baptized does not make you a Christian.
Christianity is the acceptance of the free gift of salvation provided through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

No, just because someone has been under the water does not mean they have been under the blood. In the book of Acts we read about a man named Simon who was baptized; but as you read what Peter says to him later you will see he was not saved.
We can never be saved because of what we do; we can only be saved because of what Jesus Christ has already done for us. Let me explain.
Our greatest problem can be put in one word: sin. Sin cuts us off from God, and sin also keeps us out of heaven. But how can we get rid of our sins? We can't erase them or cause them to disappear by ourselves; we don't have the power. The only way we can get rid of our sins is for someone to come along and take them away for us.
And that is exactly what Jesus Christ did for us. We are weighed down by the burden of our sins—but Jesus took that burden upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. To put it another way, He took the punishment we deserve when He went to the cross in our place. The Bible says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
What must you do? Simply believe that Christ has taken away your sins, and then receive Him into your heart and life. The Bible's promise is for you: "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). Become God's child today by asking Christ to come into your life.

No! You are saved when you believe that Jesus is Savior and only He can save you from your sins. Baptism is an outward action for what has happened inside. Salvation comes first, baptism, second.

No it does not. If you are not a believer in Jesus, then being baptized will not save you.

no. baptism is a symbol of being reborn. its when you 'wash away" your sins and begin living life for christ. however just cause u were baptised doesnt mean your saved, you can still go worship satan, and everything. its nothing more then a symbol to you and everyone around u.
