We must repent of our sins before we can establish a relationship with god. Mark 1:15
Acts 3 : 19, 2 Peter 3:9
God forgives those who repent 2 Chronoicle 34:26-28 , Acys 8:22 , 2 Corinthians 7:9

True repentence means letting the forgiveness you've experienced change your life

If you are born again, you HAVE BEEN forgiven! (Eph 1:7, Col 1:14, Heb 10:17-19). If you are in Christ, you HAVE ALREADY repented and have been forgiven of ALL your sins.

Now, you obviously continue to do "what you don't want to do" (i.e. sin). God calls you to turn from this (the deeds of the flesh)...in other words "repent". But don't confuse God's call to live a life holy and pleasing to Him (Rom 12:1) with the NEED to receive forgiveness for every sin you commit on a daily basis.

Christian, you stand forgiven!!! It's a done deal.

Are they forgiven? No. Will you have to "answer" for it? yes. A person can and does die everyday with unforgiven sins. You could die tonight and not have asked for forgivness. If you sinned, you will answer for it. It will NOT be punishment. heaven is NOT a place for punishment. You don't go to hell for unforgiven sins. No where in the Bible, even remotley suggests that. Heaven is a place with "rewards". Will a person have to give up certain rewards? Maybe.

Fully Alive
Colossians 2:9-17
When you become a new creature in Christ Jesus, sin no longer has to be a part of your life. But why do believers still sin?
Once we receive God’s forgiveness for our lives, we are crucified with Christ. Paul writes: "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God…" (Galatians 2:20).
However, we still have a human body, which has God-given appetites that desire to be fulfilled.
When the enemy taints these appetites, luring us outside the boundaries God has drawn for us, our actions to fulfill these desires are sins.
The real question is this: when you step beyond those bounds, do you feel comfortable?
We should never feel comfortable sinning. Paul certainly didn’t as he wrote, "For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate" (Romans 7:15).
It’s the new nature – God’s nature – in us calling us back to our heavenly Father. If you are a Christian, just because you sin against God doesn’t mean you have a sinful nature.
When you learn to yield to the urgings of your new nature, sin in your life begins to diminish as you walk in the freedom of Christ.

What is the Unpardonable Sin?
You cannot commit an unpardonable sin. I receive many letters from people who believe that they have, because they feel guilt over adultery, murder, doubt, or some other wrong. But the one sin Jesus said would not be forgiven was unique to His time on earth.
The Pharisees had witnessed the power with which Jesus healed and performed other miracles. They’d also heard Him speak with authority befitting the Messiah. But these religious leaders were less concerned about truth than about the threat to their supremacy. They tried to undermine Jesus’ ministry by accusing Him of working in Satan’s power.
Jesus challenged the Pharisees’ blasphemy: “Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him…” (v. 32). The Pharisees’ defiant rejection of the Holy Spirit’s work and power was the unforgivable sin. Their biblical knowledge along with the fact that they’d personally witnessed the Messiah in action put them in a unique position that can never be duplicated.
Many saints, including the apostle Paul, rejected spiritual things before coming to faith, and God mercifully forgives ignorance. But no one today can 1) claim to have seen Jesus in the flesh, and 2) label His power as demonic. The rebellious irreverence of Jesus’ contemporaries was the unpardonable offense.
People can reject the Holy Spirit and refuse the forgiveness Jesus offers to all mankind, but no unpardonable sin exists today. Every offense that can be committed is covered by Christ’s atoning sacrifice.

Read all of Romans Chapter 5; 2 Corinthians 5:19;

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

If we are under grace(God's unmerited favor) and have Jesus as Savior and we trust him to save us from all unrighteousness, then why would you think we have to spend every 5 minutes asking for forgiveness? What about things we do unknowingly that hurt someone else(such as accidentally leaving matches where a child can find them)? What about having a sinful dream? what if we died during our sleep after having such a dream? I have faith in Jesus keeping me (He said whom the Father has given him no one can pluck out of his hands) and I rest in Jesus abilities to Keep me and I am a forgiven person because of what he has done... I have no righteousness of my own that's why I am depending upon Jesus's righteousness.... He died for All sin --- those who accept him as Savior are forgiven people.... His sacrifice has to cover sins past- present -future the bible states he died once for all! The bible states Jesus is our advocate - isn't that someone who intercedes for us ? Here's the definition for advocate (a person who pleads for a cause ) --- so if Jesus is an advocate, then what is He pleading before the Father?

no- I don't believe so. Without repentance or remorse you do not regret your sins. Now this is hard- if you didnt have time to repent and you die but god knew you were remorseful then yes. But if you just don't wanna then no.

God won't forgive you of Blasphemy, ever:

"7You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name"

God will punish you for your parents and Grandparents sins of Idolatry, regardless of your desire to repent:

"3you shall have no other gods before me. 4You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me"

He won't even forgive you of sins that you ARE repentant of, much less those that you are not.

I have no scripture to back me up, but I believe that Jesus came once to die for our sins, past, present, and future. If we could be lost again, He would have to come back and die all over again, right? Hope that makes sense! God bless!

God understands when we forget, but we must hate ALL sin.

Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sin causes us to be separated from God which results in spiritual death. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins through His death on the cross so we could by faith in Christ as our Saviour have forgiveness of sins, unity to God, salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Christians are not perfect and whenever we realize we have sinned, we repent!

As long as a human is physically alive on the earth, they can repent (Hebrews 9:27).

Sins are destructive to the soul, they bring curses and they invite and allow evil spirits into our lives. The great thing is that when we sincerely repent (regret that we have sinned and turn completely from sin), God forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We Christians know right from wrong (Hebrews 10:16) but we aren't perfect and although we slip at times, we repent and are cleansed and strengthened (1 John 1:9; Titus 3:5). Hebrews 10:26 tells us that if someone GOES ON deliberately sinning without the desire to repent, it shows they are not saved.

If a person is not repenting of their sins it means they are not undergoing Christian transformation (2 Corinthians 3:18; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Hebrews 9:12-14; Titus 3:5) which is evidence they do not have the Holy Spirit abiding within them. If they are without the Holy Spirit who God sends to those who are Christ's (John 14:26) it shows that the person never genuinely made Jesus their Lord and Saviour and therefore is not saved.

Those who say they are Christians but are not repenting of their sins are not Christians and are on the wide road to Hell (Matthew 7:13).

The Lord Jesus commands us to repent:

Revelation 2:5
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Revelation 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Iniquities (tendencies that cause one to sin) pass down the generation line (Numbers 14:18). When one accepts Lord Jesus as their Saviour, God forgives their sins and removes their iniquities (evil tendencies) in the subsequent transformation process which makes one more and more like Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Hebrews 9:12-14
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

After genuinely accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, ALL sinners (adulterers, those who practice homosexuality, alcoholics, liars, drug addicts, fornicators etc.) will be saved and transformed AS THEY REPENT. Each believer is cleansed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and receives the infilling of the Holy Spirit who renews them.

REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Because mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of perfection necessary to abide in God’s presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer’s sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ’s righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus’ gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God’s grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer’s justified status.

If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God:

"Dear Jesus,

I am a sinner.
I repent of my sins.
Please forgive me and save me by your shed blood;
come into my heart.
I want to receive you as my own personal Lord and Savior.

Amen"
