There is no difference in taste or nutrition between white and brown eggs. The difference is just cosmetic. Eggshell color can vary but it has nothing to do with the quality, flavor, nutritive value, cooking characteristics or shell thickness of an egg. The eggshell color only depends upon the breed of the hen.

Some old cookbooks will tell you to use brown eggs instead of white when you are making a cake. I guess the cake turns out better.

basicaly it has to do with the breed of chickens that laid the eggs
some people say that brown eggs are stronger but that depends on the kind of food the chicken ate before aying the egg. they all are yellow and white inside.

Different kinds(species) of chickens lay different colors of eggs. Really cool. We get others from a friend , in a rainbow hue of colors.

My parents used to raise chicken & this is what I learned:
there are different breeds of chicken and they lay different colored eggs also, the colors can change following the kind of food the bird eats.

I heard the brown ones were actually fertilized while the white ones were not. But I don't think that's right. Nutritionally there is no difference.
