Simon and Andrew are, according to Matthew, the first two apostles to be appointed, and Matthew identifies them as fishermen. Mark does not identify Simon as also being called Peter until a long time after Simon is introduced in the narrative, but Matthew immediately makes the connection as soon as he is first mentioned. This has the effect of changing the later passage where Jesus names Simon as Peter from one where Jesus bestows the name onto Simon into one where Jesus merely starts using a long held nickname.
Matthew describes Jesus meeting James and John, also fishermen and brothers, very shortly after recruiting Simon and Andrew.
The synoptics go on to describe that much later, after Jesus had later begun his ministry, Jesus noticed, while teaching, a tax collector in his booth. The tax collector, Levi according to some Gospels, Matthew according to others, is asked by Jesus to become one of his disciples.
Philip's previous occupation seems to be unknown.
Bartholomew's previous occupation seems to be unknown.
Thomas's previous occupation seems to be unknown.
James "the less" or "the just" (a different James) was the brother of Matthew, but his previous occupation seems to be unknown.
Simon's ("the zealot") previous occupation seems to be unknown.
Judas Iscariot's previous occupation seems to be unknown.
Jude is also called Thaddeus, and was the brother of James "the less", and his previous occupation seems to be unknown.

Some were fishermen, one was a tax collector, one (simon) was a zealot,(not really a trade, more like an old time member of the IRA) others we aren't told about. You don't say exacly what you mean by Disciple. Whats above relates to the Twelve Apostles. Paul was a tentmaker, Luke was a physician.

Matthew was a tax collector, Peter, James and John and Andrew were fishermen. Most of the other disciples do not have their occupations revealed in the Bible. Luke wasn't a disciple- he was one of the gospel writers although he is believed to be a doctor. Paul was a tent maker but he wasn't one of the twelve either.

I think that Luke was a physician, and one was a tax collector, but I can't remember which. Peter was a fisherman and so were some of the others.
