Nothing will fix it overnight, but make a routine bedtime every night when you put them to bed and stick with it. They'll probably still cry for a couple of nights but they'll finally get the message!

As some of the other ladies replied, it is very tough, especially being a single mum. I have three boys aged,8.6 and 1. Fortunately I started when they were new borns to let them cry / scream to sleep. It is hard when you start, they can go on for an hour, but each day it will get easier, to eventually not having any problem at all. I still have the occasional night where my little man wakes up and wants to be picked up. I will go in and lie him down (without talking to him or looking at him) turn him on his side and pat him for two minutes. If he get up again, I wait 10 mins and do the same thing. This has worked for me as they soon learn that Mum isnt going to give in, and it is not worth waking up at all as they arent going to win.

I hope this this helps, I know it can be very difficult!

and don't let her wacthing scarry movie again otherwise you will get a problem.

I know its hard I am raising grand children but you just have to stick with it...
I put a TV in the room on a booring channel and it puts them right to sleep...
Sometimes if they are fighting and loud I lay in the room with them till they drift off to sleep and then go into my own room....This has worked for me....
