You want an easy answer...
I know your panic very well, I was in your situation last year.
Most every ones' answer is helpful.(you know how to do it the healthy way you seek fast results.)
Consider how much you have to do wedding-planning wise... I'd imagine you have a job and other life occurrences that need tending to.
I'll tell you what my now husband told me last year when I was wolfing down a bag of chips(lol) while stressing out about my weight ..."Honey, please don't put that pressure on yourself too"
That did it for me... I just relaxed after that and decided okay... I'll breathe deeper and slower more often, eat better, drink more water, sleep and make sure I really take care of my hair and skin through gentle beauty regimes...
If I'm overweight for my wedding, oh well... I can focus on that part of my life afterwards...I'm not defined by my weight.
A terrific photographer helps too. No unflattering shots.
I was happy and still am... The main reason for the wedding was to marry my prince, eat, drink, dance with friends & family and have fun.
Also, maybe consider dress alterations. ($$$) and think what could happen to your complexion if you do something severe to lose weight...
I know I'm not helping, just bringing up points to consider...
Sorry that it isn't what you're looking for.
Wishing you good luck and a happy wedding/ marriage!!!
(Please learn to relax, maybe a short walk outside might help clear your head.) :)

My wedding's in 6 mo too. Good luck :)
I hear weight watchers is wonderful. It's good to have a goal like looking great on your wedding day, but do it for other reasons. Do it for you. The benefits are great:
-exercise gives you endorphines. Endorphines make you happy. Happy people just don't kill their husbands. They just don't. (sorry Legally Blonde moment)
- more energy to get you through the day
- higher metabolism
- you'll be lookin hot
- lowers health risks
etc etc

so...watch what you eat. Not a lot of calories or carbs. Exercise at LEAST 3 times a week. cardio and abs
stop when you're full. Find other things to help you deal with your emotions besides eating. If you can not emotionally pig out for at least a month you'll start to break that habit and it will get easier. Don't give up during the first couple weeks. That's when it's the hardest (exercise wise)

lots of luck

I'm not sure about the weight loss except for diet and exercise. I do know that the stress connected with your up coming wedding has a lot to do with family sticking their noses in. It always does. Best thing is to take your fiancee and go to the justice of the peace with one or two witnesses. Leave all the stressing out for another time like when you run into problems down the road rather than having it all on you right now. Trust me, I've been married twice and weddings are just not worth it!

If you are going to lose weight, you should do it for yourself, your well being and your peace of mind. You would need a support group or a psychiatrist to help you deal with the situations, stress and emotions causing you to overeat or eat under duress. Once you've sorted out that part of the problem, you need to start working on a lifestyle change. Weight loss and maintenance involve you developing and continuously working on the way you eat. Like Atkins, you'll have to determine the things that you eat that make you gain weight and either cut them off or moderate how much you eat (depending on your height, but you shouldn't eat less than 1200 Calories a day). You should substitute sodas for water. Drink lots of water. Drink water before you eat and after you eat so that you are full faster. Sometimes, when the body thinks it's hungry, it's actually thirsty. You can use ice cubes as snacks. You would also have to include an exercise regime (like 5 times a week for at least an hour and on two days add strength training- Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays do Cardio and Flexibility, on Tuesdays and Thursdays add strength training so that your muscles can relax) to your weight loss/exercise program (especially strength training) because when your body is made up mostly of muscles, it's easier to maintain weight loss.

I'm in the same boat as you. I had lost a ton of weight about about a year before my wedding, and in the six months leading up to it, started putting it all back on. It was a disaster, and I was so upset. We got through it, though. I don't know what to say except to eat healthy and exercise.

I've been battling this issue all my life, and I am finally going to do something serious about it. I have an appointment with a dietician next week.

keep in mind, you are buying a wedding dress to fit your body not the other way around....... if you want to lose weight just watch what you eat and exercise. I don't know how much a "ton" is for you, but please make sure you do it healthy. Don't starve yourself or anything else. The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in. Eat fruits, veggies, chicken, things like that, don't go to McDonald's, Burger King, don't eat out a lot and if you do, make healthy decisions... if you start getting stressed and need to eat... binge on fruits or veggies, not cakes or cookies... Good luck and Congrats

I read the other day that you have to exercise for 60 minutes a day in order to lose weight. I try not to have any food in the house that I know would be unhealthy. Also, I try to pre package snacks, for example, 9 rice cakes in a ziploc bag and take it to work. Everytime I get stressed I walk, but in your case you might just jump into your wedding plans with your fiance. Good luck!

Here's a step by step guide to losing weight quick and safely.

1. Eat meals more frequently, but smaller portions. This way, when you're hungry for a snack, instead you can make a small dish with about a tbsp. of peas, 5-6 baby carrots, and a baked potato [& meals like that].
2. Breakfast is essential. In the morning, metabolism works way faster and it also gives you energy to burn off carbs during the day. Have a nutricious and healthy breakfast every morning such as a bowl of Special K with a Banana on the side.
3. Purchase some light weights. I've gotten rid of all the fat in my arm by building muscle using a set of 2 pound weights. They were a dollar per weight! So, it only cost me 2 bucks. If you can't find any light weights, use a can of soup or vegetables as your weights and do exercises that promote muscle and strength in your arms. All the way up & All the way down 10 times each arm for 10 minutes each day for the next 6 months.
4. Next, to trim down thighs and promote muscle in your legs here's a simple technique— lay on your back, stick your hands under your butt for a bit of a push upward, and move your legs in the are in a rotation as you would as if you were riding a bike. Doing this non stop for 2 whole minutes makes your legs feel sore. After doing it enough, you'll be able to continue "cycling" for much longer.
5. Enjoying yourself. If you put some music on and dance around your house freely, you'll lose weight. You can prance around and dance whichever way you'd like and it's a workout in itself because you're getting all that movement and start to sweat. That's the funnest way to lose weight because you're having fun and not thinking about calories.
6. Stay away from junk food and soda. Start drinking gatorade and vitamin water. Snack on baby carrots, celery, kashi go lean crunch bars, nuts, etc.
7. You know those stairs in your house? Use them to your advantage. Run up and down them 10 times a day. Up & Down= 1 set.
8. Always make sure you're getting enough protein and vitamins. Never binge and never starve yourself. It's essential to lose weight in a healthy matter.
9. Lye on your floor and do a set of 20 crunches each day for the first week. Then, the second week do 40 each day. Continue adding 20 more each week. This tones your stomach and gets rid of fat by burning it, toning it, and making it look fabulous.
10. Jogging is always good. If you live in a nice neighborhood or know a good park, take your mp3 player or headphones and go for a 30 minute-1 hour jog. Have your fiancee join you as well.

(You can always go to a gym but the ideas that I have given you are excellent for those who don't have the time or the money for a gym).
