I did not answer this question previously. I have all those things and my hair normally is thick and healthy. The only thing that has caused a problem with my hair ever is a thyroid deficiency. I would consult both my doctor and a dermatologist about thinning hair as it could be a symptom of an illness. And, its not unlikely that there is something you can do about it now.
Asking guestions online is a good way to get a variety of thoughts, but hun, please, NONE of us can diagnose a problem online, even if we had the education and training. See your doctor.

I have had the same EXACT problem. I noticed while on Wellbutrin that my hair began falling out after a couple months (4 months). My doctor switched me over to cymbalta. For about a week I had no hair loss but as soon as it really got in my system my hair started falling out again. I had to just quit. I started taking vitamins called "Hair, Skin & Nails " by natures bounty. I got it at Target for like $6 a bottle. It helped my hair to get stronger and I no longer have the big clumps of hair in the drain after I shower.
As far as needing the meds, yes I have noticed that I am more anxious since being taken off these meds. Talk to your doctor. I don't want to take any more chances because most of these meds, although they have some different indredients, they also have some of the same ingredients or alter the same chemicals in your body. I don't want to try any more drugs if they will probably do the same thing.
I too am too young to lose my hair (I'm 24). Like I said, talk to your doctor. There are certain things that I've begun doing like exercising more and having "quiet time" where I relax and it has helped with my anxiety. Theres also certain vitamins you can take. You and I are both probably just sensitive to major psych medications because they really do alter the chemicals in the brain.
You might just have to choose between anxiety/depression or hair loss. Good luck!!

Your hair will come back if you find out and remedy the cause of it's loss.
I am wondering if you may have a thyroid disorder as well...which can cause weight loss, possible anxiety, and effect a lot of other systems in your body. You may want to check with a doctor on that as well as try a different medication. There are lots of medications out there for anxiety and depression. Everyone reacts differently to different meds. Lots of people find relief from Paxil. It caused anxiety for me...but Effexor works for me but causes anxiety for other people. Talk to a doctor about all your options. Maybe something like Anafranil might work for you...
but I am NOT a doctor and can not know what would be best for you to try.
Make sure to make a list of ALL things in your life that you are experiencing. Not only the real bad ones. Then take your list to your doctor so he/she can see the whole picture of what your life is like....then make a well-informed decision about what tests to have done...if thyroid disorder is a concern...and what medications might be useful.
Take care of you.
Also, I know from my own experience that being too thin can cause hair loss. I was anorexic for several years and had that problem....but have wonderfully healthy hair now. You may want to take a women's vitamin supplement as well as the above.
Good luck to you.

Certain medications can cause hair loss. Depakote is one and it happened to me. (It can also change hair texture...how weird is that?!) The doctor had me take vitamin/mineral supplements (biotin, selenium, zinc, copper, and one other one that I can't recall right now ) while on it, to try to minimize that effect because I had had it happen when I tried Depakote once before, but it did not work for me and the hair loss was excessive. It freaked me out so much and thankfully, it did stop falling out eventually once I stopped the meds and it grew back. So I would say that in general, if hair loss is due to being on a medication and you go off of it, it is a reversible problem. My hairdresser also recommended using American Crew Revitalize system of shampoo, conditioner and a spray...which I did...although I don't know how much it actually helped.

You should consult your dr to make sure this is the cause. Anxiety and depression is something I think you can overcome yourself depending on how extreme it is. I've done it and I must say its not easy, you have to learn alot of control. Hair is something thats always growing so I don't think you will have a problem with it not coming back. Good Luck

If that is the cause of your hair loss it should grow back. You may want to ask your doctor if there are any other problems that might have caused your hair loss

Having positive thoughts (visualizing your hair and the beauty you love about it) will help it come back.
Actually, you should have positive thoughts all of the time. Instead of saying, "my hair is soooooo pretty. That's about the only thing I really love about myself", just say, "My hair is soooo pretty".................. I'm sure there is lots to love about you. Not just your hair.

you really need to love everything about yourself, not just your hair, that [ your hair ] will only be as beautiful as the whole of yourself. Fix you and the hair will follow.
