Use the prawns with a nice glass of white wine for an appetizer.Saute in butter and garlic. Use drawn butter or seafood sauce. Smoked salmon is already cooked so just warm and serve with a rice dish and asparagus or broccoli. How wonderful you are. Hope she appreciates you.

Chose the smoked salmon as the starter , just plainly rolled up with a filling of your choice on a salad.

Then do a Prawn Curry, with savoury rice.

Bon appetit.

Smoked Salmon in strips with cream and a few peas makes and excellent pasta sauce. Garlic Prawns with nice bread or a salad make a good starter.

You know you really can't go wrong with smoked salmon salad with prawns. Chop an iceberg lettuce, mix in some red yellow and green peppers, handful of cherry tomato, quarter slices of cucumber and a bag of croutons. Mix it all together, tip it onto the plate, put the salmon and prawns on top and some new potato skins still on to bulk it up, leaving room for pudding. Godd luck

if you have to ask advice from this "answers" -- you are not much of a hubby...my friend. what your wife likes to eat and get surprised...is completely personal between you and her..none of us here...as to the suggestions you put forward...they sound OK -- as long as your "attempt" turns out/up perfect -- delicisio...voila...that is more important than anything you will read here.
PS.my suggestion is you surprise her -- by choosing the right restaurant in your city -- and discreetly tell the chef -- the bring the cake with her name written on it. this way -- she will not have to do the dishes. hope it helps.
