I was wondering if the following devices/technology really work and how accurate they are:

The lie detector test. I don't believe in them I never tried it and I don't believe it works.

That technology detectives or whoever uses to create a picture of some three year old missing kid of what he/she would look like a decade from now. What is that called and how accurate is that? Can anyone buy that software?

Thanks!

polygraphs are not allowed to be used in any US courts for criminal charges, they have never been proven to be reliable.

( although all police departments require them as part of the hireing procedure)

the aging programs only work assuming no serious illness, average weight gain, and other factors, one could change slightly a varible or two and the photo can change. But it can be a close idea that is still better than none

I agree with you and so far the courts do also. That's why they are not admissible in a trial. I took a lie detector test to get a job once and lied my a.s.s. off and passed it with flying colors. I was in my 20's then, my husband and I had just had a really bad argument so I was very upset and I had been crying just before I took the test. Now I would refuse to take one.Why take it if the courts don't even accept it?As far as the other question, maybe Photoshop?
