Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap place to stay in the Tampa bay area for only 2 months.

The hotels are very expensive for the people who need to stay 2 months!! (like 3000 $ for the less expensive ones!).

I can't afford this.

I can't rent an apartment either because they don't accept a lease so short.

Please help me. Do you know a good solution?

I'm looking for a room or a studio, something cheap.

Thank you in advance.

Try looking in the newspaper to see if there are any ads for apartments to share - maybe someone will be willing to take you on a short term basis.

Or see if there is anything listed under Rooms for Rent. If you're just renting a room from someone, they're more likely to rent on a short term basis.

There are also places that specialize in temporary apartments, and they tend to be very small, and easily as much as you'd pay for a full size apartment. But that's because of the short term issues.

Not sure where to stay, but craigslist.com is the greatest site for finding anything. It's great because you can specialize it to the area of Tampa you need, and they even have links for temporary housing and sublets, which should help you out in finding a cheap place for only two months. When I moved to New York for four months (I am from Los Angeles,) I found my housing off of craigslist. Just be wary though. Not everyone is what they seem.
