So which one is it? I mean in order to know god you have to love thyself right? I mean it is only through our own acceptance that we listen to the voices that speak. BUt if you love god, and god according to you says that man is sinful, and that man judges what that sin is, then how can we love man. Do we first have to get rid of religious notion of who god is in each sect in order to love man? It is difficult when your fellow man is not loving your god. And if god is within then how can you love your fellow man if he does not love you, and then how do love yourself without knowing what love is? Just wondering

sorry that most were confused by my question I wanted you to be, because I think that most are confused of what it means to love god. LOving god is to love yourself, and hold no fear of the adversity of mans world, but to embrace your brother, and not judge him for what you may believe his lack of love for god.

Love God with all your heart, soul and thought, love your fellow man and love yourself. God knows men are sinful and He loves them anyhow. Which is why Jesus came as a sacrifice for those who will repent and accept him. God cannot be in the presence of sin, but He provided a way for us to be cleansed. You can hate what a person does and still love the person. That's how we are to love. By showing God's love in us to someone who doesn't love God, we can lead him/her to God.

Love the Lord your God with all your mind all your heart and all your strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. God expects you to love yourself because He created you as a precious being in His sight. These are the two greatest commandments from the Creator.

fryedaddy, now i am confused. Before you can give away something you must first possess it.and I would reccomend that you understand what it is before you start giving it away. try to experience this in your own heart.unconditional love is like sunshine,It is indiscribible, It shines equally on all things.it is totally giving expecting nothing in return. As sunshine passing through water crystals changes into the colors of the rainbow , unconditional love passing through the concepts of mind and human emotions changes into duality an conditional love/hate. Unconditional love is God .

God is within us (man)......
We were created in his image, right? So we ALL have God inside of us. No matter what you call God (Allah, Buddah, etc.), He/She is essentially the Creator and he made us in his image. So loving God is essentially loving ourselves and others. God IS love.
Don't think of God as something OUTSIDE of us....He is something WITHIN us. All of us. It makes it a simpler concept. And perhaps when we all get our act together, and come together in peace, God will be more evident as we unite.
So, man is NOT sinful.....he is created perfectly. It is the ABSENCE OF LIGHT that causes the darkness (or sin) in man.
Those are my thoughts....hope some of it resonates with you....

Leave it up to God what happens to lucifer. Do what you know is right. You can spend your whole life trying to do good to and love your human enemies, and you'll never be able to finish that....Some one told me years ago that if you play in the cow barn you come out smelling like cow pies....if you associate yourself with satan, you come out smelling like demons. Is that what you want for yourself. God is strong enough to handle satan. Let Him. You concentrate on following, doing that which is good. If you are unsure, go talk to your pastor, priest, parents, etc...

We are to love God with all of our being. Then we are to love others as ourselves. All commandments are based on these. God sets the standard.

God doesn't put stipulations on his love ,he loves unconditionally. We are to do the same. It doesn't matter if fellow humans don't love our God we are to respect them just the same.

man, you're confused. seek jesus. he came here so that you can be absolved of your sins and get to know god. he loves you, you love him and the rest takes care of itself. get off the selfish notion of loving "thyself" and focus on loving others.

God loves you, so why can't you love yorself?
God loved us in spite of our blemishes, weaknesses, flaws.
God loved us before we loved Him.

for God so loved the world, that he gave his Only Son, that whosoever believes in him may not Perish, but have Everlasting Life.
