The greenhouse effect is beneficial because it is the only thing that enables the Earth to retain the heat during the night. Without it, almost all of the Sun's energy would reflect away immediately, and the night side of the Earth would always be freezing cold. For example, Mercury has no atmosphere, and therefore no greenhouse effect. During the day, the temperature is about 430 C, but it drops to -180 C at night!

The greenhouse effect is harmful because an increase in the effect can lead to global warming. A runaway greenhouse effect is the reason why the surface temperature on Venus exceeds that of Mercury even though it is twice as far from the Sun. In addition, Venus doesn't experience significant cooling at night.

It is beneficial because of it helps to keep adequate temperature and protect humans from excessive radiation. The gases, by- products of combustion in the earth produced by industry and other sources such as forest fires, have the effect of reducing. it's extent.
This way "hole" existing over the pole is enlarged and consequently the protection against solar radiation is reduced. More heat is retained in the atmosphere.By this the glaciers have been receding and the earth temperature is rising. There have been changes in the amount of rain and atmospheric disturbances.

Bad news
Eventually we will all die of global warming and before that happens, hot days will be unbarable, and organisms tht aren't quick to adapt, lik plants, will dye
