Saw someone shooting at an old tobacco barn in Kentucky. It was pretty different. The crew had not asked permission and the farmer couldn't figure out "what the heck those nuts down by the barn were doing. Them girls was dressed up real wierd."

I think the main thing is to just have fun with it and make it up as you go along. I love seeing editorial photos when the models have this wild, tangled hair, and their wearing these really elegant flowing dresses. It's kinda a contrast. If you want the hair to be more high fashion, it can be held back, or a high bun..also, a loose braid or some loose curls. Use something you like as an inspiration, like for me, it would be Twilight, or it could be just random and spontaneous pictures-those are the most fun and editorial. Have lots of fun on the shoot!

In my opinion, the coolest ideas for high fashion photography are the abusurd. Take your subject to the zoo, a playground, a waterpark... anywhere other than a studio or runway. Make your ideas for the photos as fresh and original as the clothing.

it all depends on what the clothes look like, if they are high fashion go somewhere---where you'd never think of seeing them (it makes it really interesting). I'm just a country girl, but when i look at clothes in a magazine the ones i usually like the best are the ones that are out of place. it makes people realize you can wear the clothes anywhere and not just in an office type of setting. So have the shoot somewhere---where no one would ever think to see them.

As crazy as it sounds, You can just gather up some hair and make up supplies, work on family/friends at home! I actually did that and people loved it! lol ...You can do something as innovative as layering all your regular clothes, puffing up lots of hair with some red lipstick n pumps, n see where you get! its easy creative and simple, and when the viewers see your fashion photo shoot they will see fashion, creativity and exuberance;-D
If you would like to see some examples, you can write to me and I would be happy to show them to you
Good Luck
