Their are two different digestive systems in mammals, monogastric and polygastric. Monogastric is an animal with only one digestive system like humans and dogs. In this system, animals cannot digest anything that is undigestable like grass. So in fact. Dogs could eat liver, but it is not healthy for them. To much carbs for their diet.

Both Dogs and humans should not eat pork that has not been properly cooked to prevent getting worms. Dogs can digest pork the same as any other type of meat but they most easily digest and usually prefer raw meat.

you're precise, that's overstated for the main area. yet once you have ever eaten corn, and seen the consequence day after today...you recognize there is something to it. Corn isn't 'easily' digested and as a result that's nutritonal value is under different greater digestible aspects. Soy and wheat are not precisely the comparable, however the nice and snug button is that each physique 3 have been desperate to be nutrional 'negatives' that would desire to be prevented in desire of oats, rice, potato, barley and different greater high quality, greater easily digestible aspects.

It really depends on the breed, smaller dogs have issues with fatty foods, and they can develop pancreatitis. Larger dogs may have difficulty digesting pork fat, and can lead to discomfort and diarrhea, but very rarely more than that.
If you have a larger dog and want to give your dog pork, make sure that it is a lean cut, and includes none of the fat.

Pork contains certain proteins that some dogs find difficult to digest, but as long as it's cooked THOROUGHLY it shouldn't pose a problem.

It not just that, but also has the possibilites of carring a intestinal worm if not cooked well. This is even true for humans. The only difference is a human can tell you when they are not feeling well pretty quickly, whereas, a dog can not let you know as quickly. So, by the time you get him to the vet, he could be really ill. Just my two cents.

I've fed my dog a little bit ham or half a left over pork chop cut up small & mixed with her kibble. She's never gotten sick from it. They digest meat no problem, just not in large quantities.

I've heard raw pork, but I don't know about cooked. Ask your vet if you want to be on the safe side. Heck, I'm sure there is probably a vet website!

Completely false. This is one of those stupid urban myths people love to blindly defend. If the meat is cooked, it is as safe as any other.
