Try a little bit of Neosporin or some vasoline.

See if you can maybe put some peroxide on them to clean out anything bad if you don't have that maybe just some warm water. If he lets you use some cream then, maybe just use a little and rub it in as much as you can and then to keep him busy for a bit while it soaks in give him some treats or can food or something. If you don't have and antibiotic stuff some Vaseline or lotion will soothe the paws for now. Keep an eye on them and get him checked out when you can get in to the vets office.

I have a dog that eats it by the tube. We always have to hide that stuff.

I would put the ointment on then a gauze pad and tape it with medical paper tape. They wrap paws when they get declawed. Be sure to check bandages and paws every twelve hours to make sure it is improving.

An oral antibiotic would help if you can get you vet to get it for you it will help it heal.

Until you get him to the vet to be checked out, I would put an antibiotic ointment on his paws and rub it in as much as he'll let you. But to him to the vet as soon as you can.

If your cat is not neutered, that is probably the main reason you are finding him so far away. When not neutered they will venture off to find a female in heat. My male is an indoor/outdoor cat, and is neutered. He does prowl, but never goes to far away. For the pads on his feet, you can apply an antibiotic cream, just a thin layer. It won't hurt him! Maybe the best time to apply it is when he is in from prowling and tired and wants to sleep. If he uses the litter box and you think that the litter is hurting his feet, you can use shredded newspaper in his litterbox.

Without a doubt your cat should be seen by your vet. He more then likely will need some medication for awhile. An over all health exam is not a bad idea since he was out.

The vet would be a good choice, I have two indoor cats and their paws are not use to the dirt or other outdoor environments, therefore their paws are very tender.

My cat burnt his paws once by jumping on the wood stove, we put burn ointment on them and wrapped them, try to carry him as much as he will let you to let the wounds heal, contacting a vet is also very helpful..

I would wash his paws thouroughly with soap and warm water and keep them clean for the next few days. You might want to use shredded newspaper instead of kitty litter to keep his feet cleaner and dust from the wounds, if they are open. And don't let him escape!

I would load the cat up and take him to the Vet to make sure he didn't get into anything acidic. It could easily turn infectious without proper diagnosis and treatment.

Calendula gel is very soothing and has great healing properties. It should be available in a health food store or even a regular pharmacy. People use it for sunburn and other wounds.
