I'm in love with my boyfriend of 2 months, and he loves me. But he's black, and my family is really beginning to get angry over it, and my dad still doesn't know. But everyone keeps telling me to find a nice white guy to date, and I know of one guy that likes me, and I liked him once upon a time, but I'm with someone I really care about and would die if I hurt him. So, even though I'm 17, should I stick with my 19 y/o black bf or go for the 22 y/o white guy everyone wants me to be with?

The only real problem is that I'm not legal for another year, and if my dad finds out he can make some trouble for my bf. And I really love him and I wanna be with him

Love doesn't see colors or race, i think that you are too young, you still don't know what love really is. How can you be asking who should you be with, if you are really in love you will break any barrier that stands in your way and be with the guy you love. Don't listen to what others have to say, listen to your heart, good luck!

Wait wait wait....you're 17 and u think ure in love? I'm not so sure of that only 2 months into the relationship? Look if your parents don't accept him for some reason....what ever that may be just listen to what they have to say, if it's 'cause they're racist then that's different but it sounds to me like you're not so sure of the current boy cause you're considering the other boy, you need to really think about what you want only you can answer your question

Your heart wants what your heart wants. Remember, you're not living your life for your friends or family, but for you. Anyone that doesn't like your BF...oh well! You will, however, have to explain to your friends and family how you really feel and tell them to accept it regardless if they like it or not. Good luck....wish you the best.

I say stay with the guy you're with....don't date someone just to make everyone else happy. Your happiness should come first. They aren't the ones dating your current man. Color means nada honey. Happiness is key.
