They are likely more organized than most large corporations. They break down as follows:
Individuals and family units;
A mixture of individuals and families, adding up to 10-15 adults and children make up a Bible book study, led by an unpaid elder;
10-15 Bible Book study groups make up a congregation, usually with a total of 150-200 "active" publishers, they meet twice a week for the ministerial school and the Sunday talk and Bible study. Each congregation is led by an unpaid overseer, who also makes the rounds of weekly book studies;
10-15 congregations make up a circuit, that meet twice a year for a weekend conference. These are held at a circuit assembly hall, or a location of suitable size. Here in Kansas City, it is held at the Memorial Hall in KCK. The circuit is led by an unpaid Circuit Servant, who spends a week with each congregation on a rotating basis.
10-15 circuits make up a District, that meet once a year for a weekend. They are led by a District Servant, who makes the rounds of Circuits and congregations throughout the year. They are held at large facilities, such as Kemper Arena, in the KC area. This last summer, over 250 were held around the planet.
Often these facilities compete for these conferences as JWs completely sanitize the facility, both before and after. They never need police help for traffic control and can empty a facility in under an hour. At a district conference in Texas, a bomb threat was called in. Over 20,000 witnesses had emptied out of the facility before the police arrived, leaving their books, briefcases, purse, bags, etc. behind, as instructed by the police.
Above the District Servants is the Governing Board of the Society. The best example of the organization can be shown by what happened during Katrina. Every JW in New Orleans was in Texas. How many other religions can say that they knew where every one of their members was during the disaster? Unless all those trapped in New Orleans were atheists, than some church didn't know where they members were at the time.

Ironic, but yes. Ironic, because when the group (formerly termed Bible Students and which derives its literature from publishing company founded by Charles T. Russell) was in formative years, the primary motivating outcry was assailing all forms of "organized religion"--viewed as malaise of brick and mortar churches grown stagnant with liturgies, rituals and hierarchy [centralized authority].
But, have you ever seen a Jehovah's Witness minister/evangelical launch their own televised ministry or campaign? Probably not, all actions of a Jehovah's Witness are controlled by central authority/body/group. So, yes they are now an organized religion--thus the thing most despised they have become. Another daughter of the Harlot.

To the tune of six and one half million and counting.I wasen't
going to answer this question because someone had pretty well
done that.However!!After reading some of the responses here I
felt I had to comment.You will of course notice the negative and
some of the downright mean and totally untrue responses.The
people that have these attitudes are obviously ignorant.By that I
mean that dont know anything about the Witnesses and what
they do or stand for.And instead of trying to learn and make an
honest evaluation they throw slurs and innuendoes.I would hope
that any one with an honest desire to learn more about Jehovahs
Witnesses would go to their web site..www.watchtower.org

Yes, they are. Their world headquarters is in New York. In every land that they operate--more than 235 as of latest count-- they register w/ governments if they are allowed.
Wonders of wonders! They now rank in the top 10 of largest religious organizations in such places as Italy, the former states of the Soviet Unions.
Many governments in fact have given them commendation for their fine works in preaching God's words. In fact, some state authorities have commented that JWs have done a remarkable job of turning around HARDENED CRIMINALS where their justice and rehabilitation systems have failed.
If you study Law in the US, their cases--involving religious freedom, the blood issue--are required reading. Some civil libertarians said that because of their court victories, millions in the US owe JWs their religious freedom.
BTW, you may contact their HQ at www.watchtower.org
