If you've had one done, what is the price range of having one done? I had a miscarriage in March & I didn't go to the doctor to be examed. I'm going to schedule a doctor's appointment in January, that's when I turn 18. I didn't want my parents to find out about my pregnancy and/or miscarriage, that's why I didn't go to the doctor. Nohting seems to be wrong with my body as of now.

If you had an early miscarriage, you shouldn't need a D&C. It is only performed if some of the tissue is retained.

Basically, if your periods are normal and you haven't had any strange discharge or fevers, you are probably fine.

Now, especially if you've been (or are) sexually active, you need to go to a doctor as soon as possible. You need a pap smear, a vaginal exam, testing for STDs and to ensure that your general health is OK. You should probably also get an HIV test too.

Only Americans have to ask about the cost of medical procedures, so I can tell you to go to Planned Parenthood or the local public clinic for a fee geared-to-income. You don't even have to give your real name, so you can feel free to go now and be as honest as possible with the health workers there.

I hope you will take very good care of yourself so that one day, when your life is in order, you can have a healthy baby.

If nothing is wrong with your body, why are you thinking about a D & C??? And the price varies greatly depending on where you live what facility you have it done in, etc. But first things first: get an exam, and don't wait until January. See what your doctor recommends, and then ask HIM/HER about the cost of any procedure that may be necessary.

Ok i am in Canada and we dont pay for that stuff here ,, but all i wanted to say honey is you need to be cleaned out no matter what the cost. You may have been walking around with a dead fetus all this time and risking yourself to bad infections. At the age you are at i dont think your parents will be to surprised to hear you are having sex and wil not have a problem helping pay for medical as they normaly would , it is on the best interest of you.

You don't seem to take very good care of your body, but then you are 17............and you didn't use birth control...........I can't stress enough as a parent how irate this makes me.............you young girls don't care enough about yourself to just go out and do whomever.....So since boys don't care, and girls don't care, what happens........Oh yes, more and more infected with diseases, of all kinds, many not curable, even aids..What is wrong? You have a computer,,,,read up on it please...........see a gynocologist first............and be honest, because he will be able to tell, and he won't have time for lies....,,,,,,,,,,,,
