Hi - I'm a military guy living in Germany. I have an older VW Golf. It currently has 185/60R14's I just got a set of winter tires size 195/65r14. I have read that an optional size for the Golf is 195/60r14. So its only a little difference (60-65) Please help guys...! Thanks.

alright let me give you the correct answer. yes you can use the tires on your car i forgot exactly how you figure out how tires work but the first number (195) is the tread with in millimeters. the 2ND number is the sidewall height, its a percentage of your tread width. the last number I'm sure you know is the rim size. the R stands for the tire is a radial and if there's another letter like s,t,v,z, something like that, that's the speed rating of the tire.
