I get mine highlighted and Im from indiana... I think its just because since we have no real celebrities around here, all we see and idolize are celebs on tv and ALMOST ALL OF THEM have blonde or highlighted hair... So its probably a pop culture thing.

I think the question should be why do so many brunettes dye their hair blonde?? I really think it is because they are maybe not incredibly attractive to begin with, so they think that the peroxide look will automatically make them beautiful, or a man magnet?? I really don't understand, but I think that if you're a beautiful brunette, you don't consider dying your hair blonde. I'm a long haired brunette, and would never dye my hair, because I love it, and always get so much attention, especially with so many 'blondes' around. I think many women are under the misconception that all men love 'blondes' - but in my experience it is not all that true. Being a certain 'blonde' can give out messages that maybe you are 'easy', so in that aspect, if you're looking for cheap thrills, then go for it, but if you're not wanting that sort of attention, I think it is best to go for what best matches your skin type. Men tell me they often see brunettes as more difficult to attain, and higher 'quality'. When every second woman dyes her hair blonde, I don't see what the attraction would be, as it is so much better to be different and exotic, and I don't see how 'blondes' stand out in the crowd, when there are so many dye jobs out there. Blonde hair is only OK when it is natural, but there's nothing worse than a cheap, messy peroxide look.

i think of the question could desire to be why do various brunettes dye their hair blonde?? i in my view think of it incredibly is using fact they are perhaps no longer quite eye-catching first of all, so as that they think of that the peroxide seem will quickly cause them to ideal, or a guy magnet?? i in my view don't understand, yet i think of that while you're a ideal brunette, you do no longer evaluate death your hair blonde. i'm a protracted haired brunette, and would possibly on no account dye my hair, using fact i like it, and continuously get a lot interest, extraordinarily with various 'blondes' around. i think of many women folk persons are below the misunderstanding that all and sundry adult men love 'blondes' - yet in my journey it incredibly is not any longer all that genuine. Being a undeniable 'blonde' promises out messages that possibly you're 'common', so in that component, while you're searching for much low-priced thrills, then decide for it, yet once you're no longer needing that type of interest, i think of it incredibly is terrific to decide for what terrific fits your pores and skin type. adult men tell me they frequently see brunettes as extra difficult to attain, and better 'high quality'. while each and every 2d female dyes her hair blonde, i do no longer see what the allure could be, because it incredibly is lots extra helpful to be distinctive and unique, and that i do no longer see how 'blondes' stand out interior the gang, while there are various dye jobs obtainable. Blonde hair is in basic terms ok while it incredibly is organic, yet there is not any longer something worse than a miles low-priced, messy peroxide seem.

Personally I prefer girls with dark hair, especially those with lighter skin and blue eyes as the hair really contrasts creating a striking look. I agree with the statement about brunettes standing out in a crowd of blondes, often in busy social places I'll barely notice the blondes but all my attention is drawn towards the less common brunettes.

I've met some really striking looking dark-haired girls over the years, and they've been most happy to take full advantage of their natural looks. It would be a real shame to see any of them appear with peroxide blonde locks, personally I think their attractiveness would be severely diminished!

Each to their own though, it's up to every individual to decide what they want for themselves, I just hope they're not doing it just to be with the "in crowd" etc.

They have the misconception that blondes are hotter than brunettes. Also, alternative lifestyles are not as widely accepted in the midwest than in other areas, so they lack support if they go against the popular choice of blonde hair.

I don't think that's just a midwest thing, actually. I'm in California and the girls do the same thing. They all look alike out here!! ugh. I went back to my natural brown and I love it. In addition, it makes me stand out in the sea of highlighted blondes!!

A lot of the time, people want what they don't have. Or they just like a change from what they're used to. If you really take the time to notice, you'll see that people with light hair sometimes like to dye their hair dark brown, or black.

You can usually tell, too. Because their complexion is too light and it doesn't really match having such dark hair.

It still looks cute on some of them, though.

Regarding men who die their hair, more of them tend to go darker than their natural hair color. I think it's because people think of darker hair as being more masculine and blonde hair as being pretty. I color my hair to cover the gray in it, and my friends tell me I usually go too dark with it. Anyway, now I'm trying to be more careful and pick a color that looks more natural with my skin tone. I would rather have dark brown or black hair, though. I think that men with dark hair are attractive.
