I think you already know...but here goes...

I support the illegal immigrants because our immigration laws are messed up, because we have become an exclusive resort. All other countries are inclusive, we discriminate against people due to the amount of money they have...and sadly the economies of other countries are not great.

This is a hard topic for me, it's hard not to be compassionate towards the families that are only trying to provide their kids with a better life, but we have to reinforce our laws. Along with those genuinely good people, plenty of criminals are coming in and terrorizing our communities. It's not fair for us to be lacking resources and having to pay taxes to keep those illegal criminals in our jails. I think for those who can prove that they have been working and are good citizens, they should get the test to become legal citizens. There's no denying that they are willing to do the jobs you and I are not willing to do. In the end, our laws should be reinforced and they should get in line for their citizenship the right way. Let's not forget that Mexicans are not the only illegal aliens here, there's Cubans, Dominicans, Asians, Russians..etc,..

The word, "illegal", says it all. I support deportment of illegal aliens. If they want to live in the U.S.A., let them come in through the proper channels and apply for citizenship.

Addendum: Someone up the line said that they support illegal immigration because they have seen the shanty towns in Northern Mexico.
So have I. I have also seen the shanty towns in the U.S.A., the homeless camps under highway and railroad overpasses, the 'derelicts' freezing cold on a winter's night trying to find a steaming grate to sleep on.
I should feel sorry for Mexicans who have come here illegally when there are _citizens_ and U.S. military _veterans_ living in worse squalor than those do in Mexico?
I hate that anyone has to live like this, but the nonsense has to stop somewhere. Let Mr. Fox or whoever is El Presidente this week take care of his own. There is plenty of oil in Mexico territory. Let them spend some of their profits on their own poor.

I do not support illegal immigration, from the word itself "illegal" I can't be a part of something against the law. However, theare are legal ways to stay in here, why can't they just go through that course. I find it so unfair for people who went through all those beureaucracy and then here comes a new guy going ahead of the line.

I am for legal immigration, but having been born to illegal immigrants (long, long ago) I can understand and have compassion for both sides of the argument.

i don't support breaking the law, so i argue with how you frame this question.

let me say, i think our immigration policies are unrealistic and the changes proposed do not address that fact. people who stare into the desert with an aquafina and two kids and say, "yeah i can make it" will not be dissuaded by a wall...
